Casa de Wessex

La Casa de Wessex está conformada por los monarcas ingleses de la línea sajona, comenzando por Alfredo el Grande, rey de Wessex desde el año 871, cuya derrota de los daneses en 878 llevó a la creación del Reino de Inglaterra. Alfredo se autoproclamó Rey de los Ingleses luego de liberar Londres de los daneses en 886.
